International Expo 2012 in Yeosu, Korea

On January 20th, 2012, 48 artisans specialized in wood carving, polychrome and gilding, were pleased to present the fruits of their hard work: they spent three months producing 11 majestic pieces to honor a special order made by the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce. These 11 statues, inspired by Angkorian works of art, will be displayed at the Cambodian pavilion of World Expo 2012 in Korea. It took for our artisans 1440 hours for wood carving, 536 hours for plastering and 120 hours for polychrome process and gilding to make one 1,70m-high piece called “Lion of Angkor Wat”.
