Do you feel “In the Mood for Boheme”?

Fashion Show at First Floor – Capsule Collection 2013

After having been displayed for 2 months (from December to February)  in Artisans Angkor’ shop in Phnom Penh, our capsule collection moved on the premises of the First Floor – one of the most hype boutiques in the capital’ Street 240 - where we organised  an exclusive fashion show on the 21st of February! This event introduced a new face of Artisans’ diverse collections featured a family clothing line worn by three kids – two adorable boys and the cutest model girl you could imagine – and four adult models.

This “ladies’ evening out” was meant to inform women in Phnom Penh about the arrival of a new spring-inspired handmade silk collection romantically named In the Mood for Boheme… Generally called “capsule” collection in the fashion world as it refers to a temporary and unique collection, it is the creation from both an established brand and a designer whose style differs from the company’s usual items.

During nearly the whole year 2012, Artisans Angkor worked together with a talented Euro-Asian fashion designer called Magali An Berthon, who used to work for various international Fashion Houses such as Kenzo, Nelly Rodi Trend Lab, Judy Ross Textiles, etc. Now, she is even a reporter for a French TV program!

The partnership gave birth to a fresh wardrobe dedicated to the entire family which is a brilliant harmony between Magali An Berthon’s creativity and Artisans Angkor’s traditional handicraft skills. Ms. Berthon designed floral motifs which became her “signature” and the shapes of all outfits. Then a group of gifted craftswomen from Artisans Angkor produced by hand this original line of fifteen pieces, easy-to wear silk clothing that can be mixed and matched to compose a trendy yet basic range of ensembles!

After being displayed during one month in Artisans Angkor’s boutique in Phnom Penh (in front of the Post Office), “In the Mood for Boheme” collection moved to the First Floor and during this charming cocktail party, more than a hundred women attended the show, certainly surprised by these brand new apparels, and discovered Artisans Angkor’s inspiring display in its new corner at the First Floor.

The capsule collection will be displayed in the capital until the end of May 2013. So if you ever pass by the First Floor fashion store, just take your time and allow yourself to feel in the Mood for Boheme
